The OC Chapter of SOLE is launching a recruiting campaign to encourage logisticians to take the Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) exam. Classes to prepare students for the CPL exam are given periodically at the Raytheon facility in El Segundo. Some companies provide support for their employees by reimbursing them for preparation materials such as books, the cost of the exam, membership dues, and ultimately reward them if they pass and become certified.  Having the CPL status will also enhance your professional stature and that of your employer. More and more, Requests for Quote have been specifying CPLs for key positions on large DoD support programs.

There is still time to join the class!

The process of studying for the CPL exam, by itself, is a very rewarding experience and provides applicants with a breadth and depth of logistics knowledge that will enhance future pursuits in the field of logistics. Please contact Floyd Horton at 310-647-0661 or e-mail him at fthorton@raytheon.com if you are interested in preparing for the CPL exam as part of a group.

Please visit the SOLE website at http://www.sole.org/cpl.asp for more information on the CPL program, study guide, application, instructions, etc.  Become a CPL and see your professional stature grow, and the field of Logistics opportunities open up for you.
